Session 1.3 - Leadership Lessons from History

Monday, July 11 • 2:45 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Federal managers are being asked to demonstrate results under budget constraints and intense scrutiny. Technology and increased collaboration are helping to ease some of that burden, but the agencies that successfully weather the current environment will do so because of quality leadership – leadership that stands the test of time. Based on the results of a recent government managers’ poll, and with Gettysburg as a backdrop, Steve Wiley and Allan Schweyer show how leaders can be successful in rapidly changing environments, even with limited resources and information.

Confirmed speakers include:

Steve Wiley, President, The Lincoln Leadership Institute at Gettysburg

Allan Schweyer, Principal and Partner, Center for Human Capital Innovation
